Volunteer for free (no fees) at Santepheap!
Volunteers add an important and vital resource to Santepheap. They bring talent, teaching, sports, art, and lots of fun. We thank them for their participation and support of our Family.
Currently, volunteers serve primarily as assistants for the Conversational English Program, a 2-hour class both morning and afternoon. During the instruction hour, the volunteer meets 1-1 with a child to assit with reading skills. During the 1/2 hour activity session, they assist in a small group with a game or exercise that provides practice for the day's lesson.
In addition, volunteers can spend time with the children practicing casual conversations, playing volleyball or football, helping with art or other fun activities.
Volunteers can also provide financial support in a number of ways, with school and art supplies, sports equipment, and funds they may have raised before arriving or when they return home. In addition, volunteers who stay for a month or more can buy a bike for their use and then donate it when they leave - we are sharing extra bikes with neighborhood kids who need them for getting to school.
